This is a handcarved antique French neoclassical style armchair, with its original needlepoint upholstery on the seat and back and brass nailhead trim throughout. The tapestry's background hue is midnight blue, with a multicolored floral motif and is in very good condition. Underneath the chair, the original webbing is loose. The original copper coiling proving its authenticity and age is also exposed on the underside.
